Russian, Books & Nintendo DS
Mar. 2nd, 2008 02:06 amWell, I didn't manage to do any proper Russian last night but I did make handy use of the online Russian dictionary to copy and paste the definitions of various unknown words from the Akhmatova poem I want to work on into a handy document so I have a nice set of vocab printed out which will save me flicking through my shiny new dictionary as much and let me concentrate on grammar and sentence (de)construction. When I find the relevant braincells, that is.
Huge seizure today, not surprising really, though mum is feeling very guilty as she reckons messing with her Palm was the direct cause. It didn't help, especially, but I'm pretty sure I was due a full size one anyways, and was at least able to open my eyes long enough to read a line of Russian poetry to memorise in between flailing about. And I've been able to do my chores and make dinner and we went out shopping without it being too challenging, given my rather groggy state, so that's handy.
This week has been mainly about resting and reading bookses, lovely pile of things dad got from the library for me to work through, including Mercedes Lackey's Sanctuary, the conclusion of the jousters series, and an Icelandic detective thingy. Not really in a French mood but the fairy tales are going well at bedtime, oh and the number of card games I've played on my DS All Time Classics is quite staggering, that is such a good present, I've unlocked a few extra things and if we can set our wireless router up correctly to play nicely with Nintendo, I should be able to play with other people around the world, which could be groovy.
Just wish my head didn't keep going so fuzzy, though Forest has let me chill out in my room despite wanting opinions on his website overhaul, pretty pictures revisited, yay!
