At the risk of only using LJ to whine these days, I should nonetheless point out that while the flu-like bug I took to London and back in December was very.. interesting.. I really did get enough of a fix of it to not need a second dose.

Groo.

:(

In other news - yes, its snowed, even here in Liverpool! And I think my dad's an idiot because he's got his course tonight, and he'll be 65 this year and doesn't keep good health and so I suggested he take a taxi down into town to the university as well as back, and he's refusing because a) he likes the bus and b) the road will be too slippy for the taxi to come to our door. Er, doesn't that mean it'll be too slippy for aging parents to walk to the bus stop? Apparently that's different

*sigh*

Snow's not melting much but there's only an inch or so and the main roads are clear so we shall see. He's still an idiot though :)

Puffy ankles: I gots 'em. The doctor says its fine, no worries, they'll go down when I've lost more weight, which is all very well but I've lost a reasonable amount of weight and the ankles they is still puffy : not happy about that. I eat a healthy lowish-fat balanced diet for the most part, no processed food, watch my salt intake and try and drink lots of water, I don't drink much tea or coffee, could do with more exercise..

Given the above, does anyone have any hints and tips - massage? Foodstuffs? Specific exercises? I've been large all my life but never used to have puffy ankles and its bugging me.
