Oops, not updated this again.. mainly cos sleepy & ill & busy.

Let's see - Thursday was mainly recovering from my birthday, we were meant to do shopping but the nap had too strong a hold.. very sleepy snuggled hobbit sort of gazed up from her blankie around 7pm and suggested maybe a Forest go and get bread and beer and we'd do the rest next day.

I came round later on mind and got last present, much kinky sex, with pauses for hushed giggles as dad walked past the (closed) bedroom door and I tried not to be squeaking too much despite certain attentions being paid ::grin::

Friday was shopping for basics, had run low on potatoes and milk and crisps and the rest, and then I was supposed to have a nice healthy roast chicken for dinner, but mum went splat so we were forced - forced, I tell you! - to phone out for Chinese takeaway instead. I had my usual, and also nibbled some of Forest's duck. This *not* being a euphemism for further kinky sex though did you know they make small vibrators in the shape of rubber duckies now? And us without a bathtub..., no, he'd ordered crispy duck and it was very nice, didn't think a takeaway could get that one so yum. I also helped him with his noodles and beansprouts but did leave his sui mai alone.

Saturday - urgh, Saturday I felt weird all morning and ended up with a nasty seizure with extra unpleasant and non-standard elements that I could sodding well have done without. Distressed hobbits, though I felt ok once it had all worked its way through...

Sunday. Ah Sunday. Well, earlier in the week mum had asked did I want any special meals for my birthday, and I agreed a nice roast beef dinner would be good: beef is kept as a treat in our house. Only trouble is, I'm the main cook when it comes to roast dinners and really could have done without having to do the full works with my head so woozy... lovely tasty result though, roast beef, yorkshires, roast potatoes, cabbage and asparagus, mmm. And much resting and reading of bookses after to recover!

Monday started ok, curled up after my shower and read a bit of Chinese poetry, and then went online later to find helpful resources for puzzling out the characters as the English translation in my book didn't bear much relation to Cui Hào's Yellow Crane Tower, as even with my tried and trusted method of spotting the few characters I know then looking for repeating words and phrases I could see the original said "yellow crane" a lot and the translation, er, didn't. Hmm. Its about a month since I felt up to any study so I was really pleased.

And then we had to go out, and a nasty lady at the shop gave me a right mouthful for politely saying "Excuse me," to her little boy to alert him to the fact he was about to reverse his over-sized push scooter right into me. Cue slanging match with me in tears but retaining polite approach and woman effing and blinding all over the place, with Forest defending me, until the security guard, who we've chatted to before many times, intervened and escorted them out. Unfortuntely I was either still post-seizure or had low blood sugar as rather than throwing it off I just couldn't stop crying and ended up staggering out to sob and sniffle on a bench as my legs wouldn't hold me up. Grr. Stupid cow. I feel sorry for her kid actually.... *sigh*

Still there are books and Chinese and cuddles in the world which is far more important than stroppy shoppers! And Forest made me coffee and fetched choccy biccies and I spent time on Amazon looking for books of Chinese folk tales and there should therefore be parcels soon.

Mmm, parcels.

Fretful

Yay, I gots parcels, my Chinese folktale books... didn't sleep well though, I'm fretting about mum who's in hospital for a cortisone injection today. Routine thing, in a private hospital under the pain consultant she used to see years ago for many similar procedures, but it does involve general anaesthetic and the rational part of my mind keeps getting mugged by the edgy, fretful portion.... be glad when she phones to say its all done!
