The Joys of Swingball*
Apr. 2nd, 2009 12:16 amDespite my plan to set up my new swingball set today (left the old one outside in all weathers and it rusted and went strange, oops), the heavens did *not* open and thus I was able to indeed set it up on the patio. Er, eventually. First I had to dig it out of the annexe, and then was halfway through filling the base with water for stability when I started going light-headed and realised I'd not eaten enough lunch.
Two glasses of milk and a portion of grapes later -
Swingball set up, hit the ball, pole waggled all over the place. Damn.
*consults instructions*
Oh, that's what the yellow plastic thingy is for, gives it more stability. Oops.
*affixes yellow thing*
Hit the ball.
*waggle waggle*
Hmm, more water?
*adds water to base right to the brim*
Hit the ball
*waggle sway wobble*
Oh wait, maybe the paving stones are a bit uneven
*slides swingball set*
Hit the ball.
Wheeeeeeeee! Hit hit swing hit, duck, meep, swing hit hit, backhand, forehand, change hands, get second bat out, hit hit hit.
Yep, still likes my swingball
:-)
