Mm, watching a clip of Guns n Roses on Youtube and being transported back to the early 90, when I was at University. I loved their music, still remember the guilty pleasure of getting both Use Your Illusion I and II at the same time when money was tight, nearly twenty quid that was but I played the tapes non-stop and still love most of the songs.

Also had a big thing for Slash, that hair, that body and oh my that guitar playing - friend of a friend called Henry was the spit of him, hair and all, and we'd sit happily at RockSoc discos watching him dance around and generally being sexy. Last time I saw him, about five years after that, he was pushing a pram with a toddler scampering along beside him, not quite the "rock god" image any more, though he was a cool guy in general and was voted "person with sexiest legs" one week, beating out all the women much to their surprise! ::giggle::

Hmm, either need to dig out my tapes or take a wander on Amazon at some point..

YouTube clip and links to a load more here for the curious.

I have their Greatest Hits CD, it's pretty good. I had tickets to go and see them with my then boyfriend when they were touring the UK in 2001 but it got cancelled after September 11th because they didn't feel safe flying. I don't know whether the dates ever got rescheduled or not, but I never got to see them. I was so disappointed :(

I was looking at that.. seem to be more tracks on the live compilation but I prefer their studio stuff to be honest, as audio tracks at least. I'm sorry you missed out on seeing them :(
